Lamont Dozier

This made me dig out a lot of my Lamont Dozier catalogue - was racking my brains re the Bobby Hutton track, I knew I had this superb track somewhere, thought it must be a Lamont Dozier solo track (those are his vocals on there?). Been waiting and checking for the session track listing several times a day - it's on the Soul Connoisseurs album (a great album as well). Have only just discovered Lamont (pardon the familiarity) was behind so much stuff I like - the Invictus stuff, Chairman Of the Board. Honey Cone (new to me up to last week), Zingara and many many more. Wonderful wonderful stuff - one big please - don't make us wait and beg for the listings, Please.
Keep up the good stuff, already looking forward to the Barry White and Herbie Hancock (inspired choice!) sessions.

WOW
Submitted by slayaz on 6 October 2009 - 8:06pm.
another amazing JJ session.
Lamont has always been an "out of reach" kind of inspiration.
This brings it all the more closer to home.
Amazing job (as always)
Much love
