Is it really 2 years ago!!

JJ

Just playing this for the "i dont know how many" time!

Truly superb and I have directed so many people to the link it must be worn out! Even with Jimmy Savile on it!!!!

If there could be a Part 2 that would be awesome - appreciate the "Back To My Disco" series went some way to achieving it.

A few suggestions:

John Forde - "Stardance"
The Steve Miller Band - "Adacadabra"
The Sweet - "Funk It Up"
Jigsaw - "Skyhigh"
Hot Chocolate - "Everyone's A Winner" - looptastic!

All the best.

Neale

time flies when you're

time flies when you're having fun :-)

all those suggestions are great mate, and i will sort a part 2 when i get a chance

your suggestion of Jigsaw's 'Sky High' will get Dave all excited :-) He loves that record.

JJ - I wouldn't normally

JJ - I wouldn't normally send a "comment" as you're aware, I think, of how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Six Million Steps, but I had to make you aware of just how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Pop Disco...Really didn't think I would but have to say it's BLOOMIN' BRILLIANT. Also as a "closet" ELO Fan...so it's wonderful to hear not ONE but TWO of my favourite ELO tracks....JJ you really are a GENIUS.

Thank you for constantly supplying "us" with great mixes.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU X

Maz x

Hello Marie glad you enjoyed

Hello Marie
glad you enjoyed this.
I'm a mad ELO fan. Not even a 'closet' one. :-) They are the love child of the Beatles and Disco. I've been caning the 'The Diary of Horace Wimp' recently. Genius tune.

Nice to see you on here !

Seeyou on the stomp chatter box soon :-)

JJ

Wish these would go on for ever...

Great selection, careful mix of well-known and hidden gems.
Since other appreciative listeners are suggesting tracks for an absolutely necessary volume 2, mine would be another Chaz Jenkel monster with Ian Dury and the Blockheads (Reasons...).
Come to think of it, are there enough Chaz Jenkel goodies out there to warrant a Smoking Session?
Keep up the great work!
Igor

Poptastic!

Can't wait to listen to these, especially as I'll be cruising round Europe next week and will need some good tunes to accompany me.

Been starved of your wonderful Smoking Sessions for months and then four mouth-watering ones come along all at once.

Any chance of posting the track listing for this and the three "Disco Demolitions" please.

Brilliant work and much appreciated as ever!!!!

Haven't heard vol. 1 yet but how about Mud and "Shake It Down" for vol. 2. Great disco tune IMO.

the Beach Boys.. yeah, a good'n .. i'd forgotten about that.

I've used the others in other smokin sessions, but all great tracks. The Glitter Band features in one of the 'disco demolition' mixes i've just put up.

Poptastic!

Hi JJ

Unbelievable but I wrote to all the Compilation Companies I knew at the end of the Eighties suggesting this type of compilation would be brilliant and sell millions!

They universally said there was no market - they do do market research as I found out when they used me a few times.

Amazing that you have chosen Sweet, Squeeze and ELO as I would have too!

Janis Ian - awesome!!

Brilliantly put together as per usual...

Thanks

Neale

Nice one Neale. Cheers. Me

Nice one Neale. Cheers.

Me and you would have been the only ones who bought it! :)

Great minds.. and all that ...

Suggestions for a part 2 gratefully received. :))

Cheers
