THE one club that I always,

THE one club that I always, always wished I could have gone to ... as groundbreaking an era as any in UK underground black music history. Massive respects to Colin Curtis and Ian Levine ... true pioneers!
Still surprised Flora Wilson (Soulvation Army) doesn't get an airing on this playlist though!! Ha ha!!

OMG excellent. So good to hear these sounds in a proper mix! Love the way he brings Eloise Laws in on the beat of Bobby Hutton. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!
A great way to spend 80

A great way to spend 80 minutes, listening to Wayne's sublime selection from the Highland Room. Even without one of my Top 10 all-time favs (The Carstairs - It Really Hurts Me Girl) it would get a "Nipper 5 Star" rating.
Brilliant!
Nigel
